Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer position supporting the federal government in the Washington, DC area with flexible work-from-home options. Provide technical support on the network and cabling issues, support the LAN and WAN infrastructure, remote sites and data centers, troubleshoot network and cabling problems, participate in lab configuration and testing of new technologies, prepare network topology diagrams and maintenance plans, and provide status reports. Requires hands-on experience with routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, and wireless networking (Aruba preferred), plus strong ability to communicate designs to diverse audiences. Must have 7+ years in network engineering and 3+ years with Cisco ISE/Aruba/Clearpass, and be able to meet government security clearance requirements. W2 only; sponsorship not available.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in a Network Engineering role
- 3+ years experience of Cisco ISE and/or Aruba wireless and Clearpass
- Routers and Switches hands-on experience
- Ability to communicate designs and network concepts to a variety of audiences, including peers and customers, verbally and in writing
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocol/technologies
- Experience with Wireless networks implementation and support, preferrable Aruba
