Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer sought to provide technical network and cabling support for a federal government program in the Boulder, CO area. Responsibilities include supporting LAN/WAN infrastructure, remote sites and data centers; troubleshooting network and cabling issues; coordinating with department administrators; participating in lab configuration and testing of new technologies; preparing network topology diagrams, standard operating procedures, maintenance plans, and status reports; participating in data calls and other operational tasks. Qualifications include 8+ years in network engineering, 3+ years in Cisco ISE/Aruba Clearpass, hands-on Cisco routers/switches, firewall experience (Fortinet a plus), strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, ability to communicate designs to diverse audiences, and willingness to undergo a government security clearance. The role may offer flexible work-from-home options and is full-time with potential for remote work within the Boulder area.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in a Network Engineering role
- 3+ years experience of Cisco ISE, Aruba wireless and Clearpass
- Cisco Routers and Switches hands-on experience
- Experience configuring and running firewalls is preferred
- Experience with Fortinet is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocol/technologies
