Job Summary
Design, configure, and maintain complex enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and data center environments using Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability while troubleshooting complex issues and performing root cause analysis. Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams for sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups as the networking subject matter expert. Implement secure architectures per Intelligence Community requirements, support cloud connectivity and hybrid networking modernization, and coordinate hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and patch management. Develop documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures while partnering with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities and support audits.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility)
- eligibility to obtain CI Poly
- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Network Professional (CCNP)
- equivalent certification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- 8-12 years of prior relevant experience
- Master's with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
- 8+ years of network administration experience
- Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical network environments
- Strong expertise with Cisco routing and switching technologies
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP
- Thorough understanding of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- Thorough understanding of VLANs
- Thorough understanding of DNS/DHCP
- Thorough understanding of VPN technologies
- Thorough understanding of NAT
- Thorough understanding of QoS
- Thorough understanding of Multicast
- Experience administering enterprise firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or Fortinet
- Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical disciplines
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Desired Qualifications
- Cisco CCNP
- CCIE, or equivalent certification
- CompTIA Security+ CE (or DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification)
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of Defense customers
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud networking
- Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and micro-segmentation
- Experience with DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with VMware NSX or Cisco ACI
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Intelligence Community Experience preferred
