Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET technologies while architecting scalable, secure solutions. Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and responsive web interfaces with Angular and TypeScript, alongside complex SQL Server database structures and stored procedures. Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and modernize legacy applications to current platforms. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and automated testing, while mentoring junior developers and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable, maintainable software.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Onsite work in Alexandria, VA, 5 days per week
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Software Development, or a related technical discipline
- At minimum 10 years' related work experience
- Advanced proficiency with C# and modern .NET technologies, including .NET Core, .NET 6 or newer, and ASP.NET Core
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, web services, and system integrations
- Strong experience developing modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript
- Advanced Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, database design, and performance tuning
- Strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and responsive web-development techniques
- Experience with object-oriented programming, dependency injection, design patterns, and layered or service-oriented application architectures
- Experience using Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core and other common data-access technologies
- Experience with source-control and collaborative development tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or comparable platforms
- Experience developing and supporting applications through the complete software development lifecycle
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
- Experience troubleshooting complex application, database, API, integration, and production-support issues
- Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling, logging, and secure coding practices
- Ability to independently analyze requirements, develop technical solutions, and complete complex assignments with limited supervision
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, analysts, product owners, testers, DevOps personnel, and customer stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy .NET Framework applications to current .NET platforms
- Experience developing applications using microservices, containerization, or cloud-native architectural approaches
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, or other cloud-development technologies
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or related container technologies
- Experience implementing automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, or comparable tools
- Familiarity with OWASP secure-development principles and secure software development lifecycle practices
- Experience developing applications in Federal Government, government-contracting, regulated, or security-sensitive environments
- Microsoft or other relevant software-development certifications
