Job Summary
Maintain and modernize the USACE's enterprise ASP.NET MVC Core application connected to an Oracle backend while deciphering undocumented legacy Classic ASP code. Write clean, well-documented C# and JavaScript adhering to DoD STIGs, store code in CWBI GitHub Enterprise, and implement authentication via Login.gov or Keycloak. Participate in two-week Agile sprints to deliver ten MVPs quarterly and four major feature releases annually. Coordinate with the Senior Oracle DBA on query performance and support integration of data via OpenAPI-compliant interfaces. Complete a Tier 1 federal background investigation prior to start and obtain Security+ certification within six months.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum active Tier 1 (or higher) federal background investigation, favorably adjudicated, prior to start
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5-7 years of full-stack or application development experience
- Expertise in developing and maintaining .NET Framework/.NET Core MVC web applications connected to Oracle databases
- Mastery of deciphering, maintaining, and modernizing undocumented Classic ASP code
- Strong proficiency in C#, JavaScript, and modern web-based user interface development
- Demonstrated experience implementing secure coding principles (e.g., DoD STIGs) in web application code
- Working knowledge of Agile/DevSecOps methodologies
- CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8140-approved equivalent required within six (6) months of contract start
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cloud architecture and migration, preferably within AWS GovCloud
- Federal government or DoD application development background
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise and modern DevSecOps toolchains
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and hardened container images
- EC-Council Certified DevSecOps Engineer (ECDE) desired for senior/lead roles
