Job Summary
Senior Naval Architect – Submarine Structures leads submarine structural design, oversees hydrostatics, stability, weight control, and fitness-for-service assessments; provides naval architecture advice to clients and internal teams; acts as Technical Lead, Technical Assurer, and Project Manager on specified submarine projects; collaborates with shipyards, dockyards, owners, Class, and OEMs for surveys, design changes, and mid-life upgrades; ensures compliance with IMO regulations, Class Society rules, and Transport Canada regulations; maintains CPD and works with Capability Manager to identify SQEP needs and development opportunities; travel internationally and support a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Naval Architecture
- Existing registration or ability to obtain registration with Professional Engineering governance body in Province of work
- Eligible for a Canadian and International security clearance
- Hold a valid passport and able to travel internationally on a minimum of a 3-month deployment
