Senior MySQL Database Administrator, AWS/RDS

Job Summary
Senior MySQL Database Administrator to maintain Keeper’s cloud database environments across development, QA and production in multiple regions. Responsible for MySQL administration, AWS database services (RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB), replication, backup and restore, disaster recovery, and production operations. Design and support fault-tolerant, highly available architectures; optimize queries and schemas; collaborate with DevOps, Engineering and Software Development teams; standardize and automate database operations using infrastructure-as-code; leverage AI-enabled tools to improve DBA productivity; participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support production systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience administering and operating MySQL databases in production environments
- Strong experience with AWS database services, including RDS, and familiarity with Redshift and DynamoDB
- Expert knowledge of database administration best practices (performance tuning, backup/restore, replication, disaster recovery, security)
- Experience designing and supporting highly available, fault-tolerant database architectures
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or database change management tooling (Liquibase)
- Ability to use AI tools to support DBA workflows
- Strong documentation and design discipline; engineering-first approach
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- U.S. Person status (citizen or lawful permanent resident) for regulated cloud environments
