Job Summary
Lead civil engineering projects from concept through completion, managing municipal and transportation infrastructure, commercial subdivisions, site grading, and mass earthworks. Prepare stamped engineering drawings, quality assurance specifications, and quantity estimates for tender and construction administration. Conduct storm water modelling, manage civil design, and organize construction quantity surveying and field inspections. Maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives and adapting Health, Safety and Environmental policies. Act in support of other GEMTEC offices when needed to complete projects.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in civil engineering practice
- preference for municipal engineering experience
- Currently registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGNB
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver's license
- have access to a personal vehicle for work related travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 (or newer version)
- Experience with ArchGIS and/or QGIS software platforms
- experience with hydraulic modeling software suites
