Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and calibrate electronic control systems across production lines, including designing electrical panels and modifying mechanical assemblies. Diagnose faults in PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and sensors while performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues, assist in equipment commissioning, and document maintenance activities for knowledge transfer. Adhere to safety protocols and 5S standards while working with legacy and state-of-the-art machinery. Stay current on automation advancements to recommend productivity-enhancing upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electronic control systems in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical manuals
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI configuration
- Familiarity with robotics and automated machinery, including robotic load/unload systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles
- Ability to work overtime as needed both daily and weekends
