Job Summary
Senior Motion Designer to craft brand, product, and concept motion for Trend Micro's consumer business unit. Role involves creating motion for brand campaigns, launch videos, social shorts, and event opens; developing AI-enhanced concept videos (e.g., AI butler/agent experiences) and UI micro-interactions; establishing a shared motion language across the consumer portfolio; ensuring global motion consistency with Japan and Western markets; integrating AI tools into design workflows and collaborating with product engineers. Requires deep craft in After Effects, Lottie/Rive, and motion graphics, plus experience with Runway, Midjourney, and related AI tools, and ability to deliver motion specs for engineers. Based in Taipei with hybrid work arrangement; English proficiency for global collaboration; portfolio reel is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of motion design experience with a portfolio reel demonstrating range across motion formats: brand, product, and conceptual work
- Proficiency in After Effects, Lottie, and Motion graphics; strong sense of timing, easing, hierarchy, and restraint
- Experience with generative AI tools (Runway, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, Krea, Flora) and ability to control outputs with prompt engineering, reference images, ControlNet/IPAdapter
- Ability to integrate Claude Code or similar AI dev-tools into design workflow to automate tasks and generate motion specs
- Strong English communication skills (business-level) to present and collaborate with global teams
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Motion Design / Animation / Visual Communications or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated ability to ship motion that engineers can implement (specs, handoff)
- Experience across brand films, social shorts, event opens, and UI micro-interactions; familiarity with AI augmentation workflows
- Portfolio / reel link mandatory; strong cases for AI-consistent character control and AI-tool integration preferred
