Senior Mortgage Processor

Job Summary

Process mortgage loans for the secondary market, including Conventional, FHA, VA, NIFA, and specialized programs, from origination through closing. Review loan files for accuracy, analyze documentation, pre-underwrite files, and submit to underwriting while coordinating with originators, underwriters, and closers. Manage a high-volume pipeline of 30–60+ files, clear underwriting conditions, and resolve pre/post-closing review items. Ensure full compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines by reporting violations and adhering to all applicable laws. Maintain regular attendance and perform assigned special projects. This role supports DD, Closing, Funding, and Post-Closing functions, with opportunities for hybrid work from home after onboarding.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of loan processing experience
  • Proven ability to manage a pipeline of 30–60+ loan files with accuracy and efficiency
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying Agency and Investor guidelines across all loan types
  • Able to support the DD, Closing, Funding, and Post-Closing functions
  • Comfortable training and mentoring new or junior processors
  • Acts as a change agent, identifying process improvements and taking initiative
  • Recognized as a collaborative team player, demonstrating resilience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and in working with other financial software
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with secondary market loans
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
