Job Summary
Senior Modeller / Hydraulic Modeller for UK Water projects in London, Bristol or Manchester. Work within Egis' UK Water team to develop and deliver 1D/2D hydraulic modelling services, support hydrological assessments, and contribute to major water and wastewater programmes. Responsibilities include delivering hydraulic models (1D/2D, integrated models), providing technical and expert advice to clients, managing projects and tenders, developing client relationships, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the UK, Ireland and France, and participating in industry events to showcase capabilities. The role requires experience with standard modelling software (InfoWorks ICM, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT), knowledge of regulator requirements, and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong communication skills. While hybrid working is offered, collaboration with multi-disciplinary and remote teams is emphasized, along with opportunities for professional development and chartership support.
Required Qualifications
- BSc/Eng or MSc/Eng in Civil, Water or Environmental Engineering disciplines
- 5-10 years of experience
- Obtained or near to obtaining professional qualification with CIWEM or similar
- Demonstrable client, contractor or consultancy experience in UK Water Sector
- Knowledge of scripting / automation (e.g. Python, Ruby etc) advantageous
