Job Summary
Travel to various nursing homes to collect blood samples from patients, performing venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures accurately and efficiently. Follow established procedures for specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transportation while maintaining accurate documentation. Interact with patients, nursing staff, and facility personnel professionally and compassionately, adhering to all safety, infection-control, HIPAA, and company policies. Manage daily routes and workload independently while ensuring punctuality and accuracy. Ideal candidates are located near Milford, CT and New Haven, CT, with a schedule including Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, with weekend rotation. Earn a $500 sign-on bonus and up to $1,000 in retention bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Willingness to travel between nursing facilities
- Personal mobile phone
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to patient care
- Must be willing to travel to surrounding areas as part of their daily work schedule
- Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM schedule availability
- Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM schedule availability
- Weekend rotation availability
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification
