Job Summary
Senior iOS Engineer to lead development and scaling of EarnIn’s mobile product experiences. You will drive feature development, serve as an architect, optimize performance, and ensure a seamless user experience, bringing innovative ideas to life in a fast-paced environment. You will potentially architect, lead, and optimize mobile infrastructure; collaborate with backend engineers to define robust APIs; enforce engineering best practices; identify and drive strategic technical initiatives; and develop testing strategies (unit, integration, UI automation) to ensure quality and stability. You’ll analyze key performance indicators to measure feature effectiveness and guide data-informed product enhancements. Requirements include 4+ years of mobile development experience, expert Swift, strong iOS architectural knowledge (MVVM/MVP/VIPER), mentoring ability, and familiarity with cross-platform technologies; plus openness to AI-assisted development tools. The role is hybrid from our Vancouver, Canada office with two days in the office required; salary range is $199,000-$244,000 CAD plus equity and benefits; visa sponsorship or immigration support is not provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience with significant mobile development experience and track record of leading complex projects
- Expert-level proficiency in Swift with deep expertise in modern iOS paradigms (Combine, Swift Concurrency, SwiftUI)
- Extensive understanding of iOS architectures (MVVM, MVP, VIPER) and their trade-offs
- Proven ability to architect scalable and maintainable mobile solutions
- Some experience in mentoring and guiding other engineers
- Familiarity with Android development and cross-platform technologies is a strong plus
- Active participation in the broader iOS development community is a plus
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, LLMs)
