Senior Mobile Engineer (Android / iOS, On-Device & SDK)

Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain high-performance Android SDKs and on-device services, focusing on reliability, battery, and security. Drive down installation failures by improving package-manager reliability and dynamic app-delivery across a fragmented device landscape. Partner with OEM and carrier teams to ship features within tight platform constraints while owning the full lifecycle from instrumentation to on-call rotation. Raise code quality through reviews, automated testing, and tooling, and mentor engineers on mobile best practices. This role supports FY27 goals of extending on-device presence into alternative distribution and reducing installation failures.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years building production mobile software
- deep expertise in Android (Kotlin/Java)
- a working command of native internals
- Strong grasp of asynchronous programming
- Strong grasp of concurrency
- Strong grasp of memory and battery profiling
- Strong grasp of data structures
- Strong grasp of mobile design patterns
- Experience shipping SDKs, libraries, or framework-level code consumed by other developers
- A track record of operating what you build in production at scale
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, autonomous, outcome-oriented team that treats its product like a mini-startup
