Job Summary
Senior Mission Manager responsible for driving program-based adoption of Vannevar Labs’ technology within government program offices. Lead engagements with program offices (PEOs, PMWs, PMOs) to identify mission problems, translate needs into technical narratives mapping to requirements, shape pilots with objectives and timelines, and convert successful pilots into sustained programs. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to reflect mission context in scope, navigate budgeting and contracting processes, and advocate for funded programs. Requires deep mission credibility, strong technical intuition, and the ability to operate autonomously in early-stage programs. U.S. Persons with current TS DoD/IC clearance required. Remote-friendly with on-site flexibility in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Persons status with at least a current Top Secret US DoD or IC clearance is required
- 15–20+ years of experience in government or defense missions (retired O5/O6 or senior enlisted or civilian equivalent)
- Deep domain expertise in a specific mission or technical area (e.g., cyber, information warfare, ISR, networks, OX)
- Strong ability to scope, pitch, and sell technical solutions to senior government stakeholders
- Experience navigating programmatic realities including budgets, requirements, authorities, and timelines
- Technical fluency to understand modern software systems and agent-based approaches
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, mission-relevant narratives
- Bias toward action and ability to work in ambiguity
- Bachelor’s degree preferred? (not specified)
