Job Summary
Utilise Mine Planned to develop short and medium-term mine plans and coordinate the PTM process on site. Liaise with the Integrated Planning team to align schedules and break down medium- and long-term plans into coordinated, task-based outcomes. Conduct frequent underground inspections to support work planning, collect technical performance metrics, and manage project groups to ensure delivery within scope. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including geotechnical engineers and surveyors to translate strategies into actionable outcomes. This role supports the Aquila underground coal operation's autonomous longwall systems, reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent with a Monday-to-Friday roster.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Supervisor / Coordinator or Senior Mining Engineer within a Technical Services team
- Demonstrated experience working in underground mining, preferably coal
- Degree qualified in Engineering or related relevant field
- Experience with AutoCAD, XPAC/MinePlanner, VentSim, Microsoft Suite
- Ability to interpret and apply written plans and schedules with some exposure to mine planning
- Full-time permanent position based at Aquila Mine, Middlemount
- Monday to Friday staff roster (9-day fortnight available)
- Successful candidates will be required to complete background screening which may include a criminal check and validation of qualifications
