Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer (SCCM/MECM)

Job Summary

Design, implement, and administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) infrastructure for large-scale Windows environments. Manage primary sites, distribution points, and cloud gateways while monitoring system health and capacity. Package, test, and deploy enterprise applications, automate software lifecycles, and troubleshoot deployment failures. Coordinate monthly patch cycles, enforce security baselines, and integrate with Microsoft Defender and Intune. Lead Windows 10/11 deployment strategies, support zero-touch provisioning, and develop PowerShell scripts for automation. Provide Tier III support, mentor junior engineers, and maintain technical documentation. Work on-site full-time in a fast-paced contracting environment supporting Federal customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of Microsoft systems engineering experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on MECM/SCCM administration in enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting 5,000+ managed endpoints preferred
  • Proven experience with Windows client management and operating system deployment
  • Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Intune and co-management
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
  • Ability to work on-site full-time
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it

  • Experience supporting 5,000+ managed endpoints preferred
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
