Job Summary
Monitor global and regional metals markets, prices, and supply–demand dynamics to develop market views. Trade physical metals and selected derivatives across base metals and specialty alloys, negotiating pricing, volumes, and delivery terms with suppliers and customers. Develop relationships with producers, manage logistics coordination with operations teams, and identify new business development opportunities. Support portfolio optimization, hedging, and risk management while reporting trading performance and market outlook. This role strengthens the metals trading platform in Brazil and South America within a growing international group with strong regional ambitions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in physical metals trading
- Experience trading copper and copper alloys
- Experience trading aluminium
- Experience trading zinc
- Experience trading nickel alloys
- Experience trading cobalt alloys
- Experience trading ferro-alloys
- Experience trading titanium alloys
- Experience trading zirconium alloys
- Experience trading stainless steel alloys
- Strong understanding of metals markets
- Strong understanding of pricing
- Strong understanding of physical supply chains
- Commercially astute
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to futures and derivatives trading and hedging strategies
- Experience managing market and credit risk
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international trading environment
