Job Summary
Senior MEP Superintendent will provide overall direction and leadership on MEP-dominant construction projects or MEP scopes across multiple projects. Responsibilities include managing construction activities and task assignments, coordinating with engineers and other departments to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule, budgeting and forecasting labor and equipment, reviewing documents for completeness, supporting schedule development and three-week look-ahead planning, supervising crews, coaching and mentoring field personnel and superintendents, establishing a teamwork environment, managing hiring and performance, implementing Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program, and handling open shop and union issues. Role requires traveling up to 100% and education/experience prerequisites include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 10 years of trade experience, plus 13+ years in a supervisory role. Base pay ranges from $144,300 to $246,500 depending on experience and location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience
- Minimum 18 years construction experience
- Minimum 13 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 100%
