Job Summary
Lead the Mechanical Analysis & Commissioning business unit by providing building commissioning services, energy modeling, and technical support for affiliated construction projects. Manage staffing, workload planning, and team performance while mentoring direct reports and enhancing commissioning standards. Engage as a commissioning manager on projects, acting as the primary liaison between the affiliated construction company and independent commissioning providers to coordinate testing, documentation, and issue resolution. Develop strong relationships with owners, design teams, and contractors to compile proposals, participate in interviews, and identify opportunities for business growth. Requires a PE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in commissioning and business development. In-office position with periodic travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
- 10+ years of experience in commissioning, engineering consulting, MEP systems, facility operations, or construction
- Demonstrated success managing commissioning projects and client relationships
- Experience in business development to cultivate and grow business
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Excellent leadership, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience managing employees
- Periodic travel to support project & business development needs
- In office position

- Combination of Certifications from the below: Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP), Existing Building Commissioning Professional (EBCP), LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Prior experience managing employees
