Senior MEP Coordinator

Job Summary

Coordinate assigned projects by reviewing scope, evaluating schedules, and managing procurement logs weekly. Facilitate 3D CAD coordination meetings, enter RFIs into ProCore, and prepare submittal packages for architect/engineer submission. Evaluate change orders for subcontractors, conduct daily job walks to verify installation quality, and enforce QA/QC programs. Manage relationships with design consultants and mechanical, plumbing, and fire suppression subcontractors using Revizto, vPlanner, and Primavera tools. Lead the coordination effort for the Kaiser Permanente San Jose hospital replacement project team.

Required Qualifications

  • Eligible to work to the U.S. without visa sponsorship or transfers now or in the future
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, (Electrical, Construction Management) or technical training
  • A combination of education and work experience in lieu of degree
  • Good written and oral communications and team skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Excel 2000
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Word 2000
  • Intermediate skill with Procore
  • Intermediate skill knowledge of MS Outlook
  • Working knowledge of the Mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression Codes, Life Safety Codes and local requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum Ten (10) years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough
  • Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge of the construction industry and the ability to use cost-estimating methods
  • Applies knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in construction field
  • Ability to use Revizto, vPlanner, Primavera to manage work
  • Experience with 3D cad coordination meetings
  • Experience preparing submittal packages for submission to architect/engineer
  • Experience preparing transmittals through ProCore
  • Experience evaluating changes and subcontractor change order estimates
  • Experience verifying change order requests from subcontractors
  • Experience conducting daily job walks to insure the accuracy and quality of the Mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression system installation
  • Experience following and enforcing the Perini QA/QC program for Mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression systems
  • Ability to develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor relationship
