Job Summary
Senior Mental Health Co-Responder provides crisis intervention, on-scene stabilization, and case management in partnership with University Police Department and University Health Services. Responsibilities include crisis response with law enforcement, risk assessment for self/others, trauma-informed crisis intervention, training and consultation on mental health topics, and coordination of care with campus partners. Requires master’s-level clinical degree and Texas licensure eligibility; position involves field-based clinical care, supervision of trainees, and collaboration across university departments.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners for Professional Counselors, Social Workers, or Marriage and Family Therapists.
- Five years full-time equivalent, independent licensure experience in crisis-oriented position, college counseling center, or other relevant setting.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Licensed in the State of Texas within one year of employment.
