Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain features for Workspace ONE Launcher on Android platforms while investigating and resolving complex customer-reported issues. Contribute to technical design decisions, optimize application performance and security, and drive root cause analysis for production problems. Review code, mentor junior engineers, and create technical documentation. Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and platform teams to deliver enhancements within Agile ceremonies. This role focuses on independently driving feature development and technical direction for a critical enterprise mobility product used globally.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8–10 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong experience in Android application development using Java and Kotlin
  • Deep understanding of Android framework components, activities, services, broadcasts, and device administration concepts
  • Experience with Android Enterprise, kiosk mode, device management, or enterprise mobility solutions
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean coding principles
  • Experience debugging complex issues using Android Studio, Logcat, ADB, and profiling tools
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and mobile application security concepts
  • Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise mobility management (EMM/UEM) solutions
  • Knowledge of Android Enterprise APIs, Managed Configurations, and OEM-specific integrations
  • Experience developing launcher, kiosk, or system-level and other Android applications
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Espresso, JUnit, and Roboelectric, and Mockito
  • Exposure to cloud-based management platforms and SaaS products
  • Experience contributing to architectural improvements and technical leadership initiatives
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar) to improve engineering productivity and code quality
  • Ability to effectively use AI tools for code generation, debugging, test case creation, documentation, and root-cause analysis
  • Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and responsible AI usage in software development workflows
  • Experience evaluating AI-generated code for security, performance, maintainability, and compliance with engineering standards
