Job Summary
Produce high-quality content for diverse medical communications projects, including extended outlines, manuscript drafts, symposia, and training programs, while developing materials with minimal supervision and strict adherence to client approval systems. Maintain day-to-day client communication and relationships, proactively managing expectations and identifying issues through regular updates. Keep abreast of new developments in assigned therapy areas, transfer this knowledge to project teams, and present work during client calls or external meetings. Complete proposal sections independently and pitch those sections to stakeholders. This role requires an advanced degree in life sciences with experience in a healthcare communications agency environment. The position offers 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare, dental, and optical cover, along with a pension scheme.
Required Qualifications
- advanced degree in a life-sciences field
- meticulous attention to detail
- ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects relating to multiple products in various therapeutic areas
- Experience as a medical writer in a healthcare communications agency environment or similar
- Outstanding writing, editing and communication skills
- excellent command of the English language
- Exceptional attention to detail in relation to both scientific content and editorial standards
- A life science graduate
- preferably a PhD
- Ability to adapt writing style to different materials and target audiences
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word and PowerPoint)
- Experience of referencing software and database searching
