Job Summary
Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Cardiovascular (West) focused on field-based scientific engagement and medical strategy for the company’s PCSK9-inhibitor portfolio. Responsibilities include meaningful scientific discussions with external stakeholders, supporting medical communications and publications, assessing KOL alignment to inform territory strategy, staying current with emerging literature and translating data into knowledge exchange, collecting insights to optimize cross-functional activities, thriving in a dynamic small-company environment, and traveling up to 60%.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific/clinical degree (MD, DNP, PhD, PharmD, PA or NP) required
- A minimum of 2+ years’ MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry required
- Dyslipidemia experience required, preferably including PCSK9
- Thorough knowledge of medicine, treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, customer strategies, and FDA promotional guidelines, regulations, and ethical guidelines is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to access and develop relationships with high-level stakeholders
- Ability to effectively communicate scientific content through 1:1 meetings, small group interactions, and in writing
- Must be a strong team player and effectively collaborate with internal departments
