Job Summary
Senior Medical Science Liaison for the IBD pipeline who will be a scientific partner providing clinical and health economic information on disease states and appropriate use of Genentech medicines. In this field-based role, you will engage healthcare providers, population health decision makers, and patients within your region, co-create local medical strategy, and support multiple medicines with broad scientific discussions on patient outcomes and total cost of care. Responsibilities include end-to-end customer experience for IBD customers, building relationships with external scientific and medical stakeholders, developing engagement plans aligned with global strategy, responding to on- and off-label questions with integrity and compliance, coordinating with field partners and internal teams, supporting trial startup and site readiness, and contributing to publications, conference data, and educational materials. Location-focused expectations include travel (up to 70%), residing within an accessible radius of major airports, and preference for CA or AZ residents. Salary range posted: $161,280 - $299,520 with potential discretionary bonus; relocation benefits are not available.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN, NP, PA etc.)
- BSN with extensive field medical experience with a pharmaceutical company
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience (clinical, managed care, or industry experience)
- Proficiency in GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and ICH (International Conference on Harmonization)
- Relevant therapeutic area knowledge and familiarity with managed care, health economics, reimbursement, and regulatory landscape
