Job Summary
Collect patient samples, accession them into the LIS system, and run lab tests for Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, and Molecular under CLS supervision. Prepare specimens, process referrals, and maintain office records and equipment while consulting clinical laboratory scientists on technical decisions. Build strong customer relationships with physicians and staff, perform clerical functions like data entry and report generation, and manage laboratory supply and inventory levels. Travel to neighboring labs for support and coverage as needed. Work Tuesday through Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related life science
- 5+ years previous experience in a clinical laboratory or related work environment preferred
- Familiarity with CLIA and CAP regulatory requirements is a plus
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Must have exceptional organizational skills and have the ability to set priorities
- Demonstrated Proficiency in computer skills and experience with a laboratory information system
- Work days: Tuesday-Saturday
