Job Summary
Manage the design, implementation, and oversight of one or more clinical development programs in solid tumors, ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practices and regulatory requirements. Lead the review, interpretation, and communication of accumulating safety and efficacy data while coordinating study enrollment and timelines with Clinical Operations. Provide in-house clinical expertise by overseeing Medical Directors and Clinical Scientists, chairing the Clinical Strategy Team to develop vetted development plans, and acting as a clinical interface for opinion leader interactions. Design and report on scientific content for protocols, Investigator Brochures, and regulatory submissions, while soliciting cross-functional perspectives from Medical Affairs and Commercial. Stay abreast of therapeutic area advancements through conferences and literature to support global drug development strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (M.D.)
- Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
- non-US equivalent of M.D. degree
- relevant therapeutic specialty in an academic or hospital environment
- Completion of a residency program
- At least 2 years of clinical trial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, or equivalent
- Ability to run a clinical research program of moderate complexity with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform and bring out the best in others on a cross-functional global team
- Ability to interact externally and internally to support a global scientific and business strategy
- Knowledge of clinical trial methodology
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements governing clinical trials
- Experience in development of clinical strategy
- Experience in the design of study protocols
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
