Job Summary
Lead high-performing cross-functional teams to translate preclinical data into robust human clinical strategies and biomarker development for neurological and neuropsychiatric programs. Design and execute innovative Phase 0 through Phase 2 studies to demonstrate proof-of-mechanism for novel targets, acting as the key interface between research and drug development to shape disease indication strategies. Utilize your medical background to guide the development of preclinical models and ensure they align with human clinical needs. Author and provide expert medical oversight for protocols, Investigator Brochures, Clinical Study Reports, and regulatory submissions, reporting directly to the Head of Clinical Sciences. This role focuses on early development and translational science for novel targets with the potential to redefine treatment for neurological diseases.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.
- 5+ years of translational or clinical drug development experience within biotech, pharma, or a top-tier academic research setting
- direct experience or a deep working knowledge of early clinical trial methodology (Phase 0, 1, and 2)
- Physician-Scientist with a deep scientific mindset
- Collaborative Leader with the ability to lead through influence and bring out the best in cross-functional teams
Desired Qualifications
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurology or Pediatric Neurology
