Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize scientific data to create compelling medical narratives, manuscripts, abstracts, and learning programs. Structure diverse content including peer-to-peer slide decks and advisory board reports while adapting writing styles for physicians, nurses, and patients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client expectations, budgets, and timelines are met across multiple therapeutic areas. Review projects for scientific accuracy and incorporate feedback to adhere to internal quality control standards. Manage multiple priorities using work management platforms and SharePoint while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines. Occasional project-related travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant science degree
- 4+ years of experience as a medical writer in an agency or similar environment
- In-depth understanding of the life sciences
- Medical/Pharmaceutical and/or CME experience
- Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Professional knowledge of medical terminology
- Expertise in articulating pharmaceutical processes and requirements
