Job Summary
Senior Medical Coder to perform MedDRA and WHODRUG coding for assigned studies within a clinical trial data management environment. Provide coding quality reviews, back-up/lead support to the Coding Manager, train clinical research personnel, maintain coding documentation and SOPs, participate in dictionary upgrades and UAT, and ensure coding tasks meet deadlines with high quality. Role requires collaboration with study sponsors and project teams, strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and regulatory guidance, and a proactive, self-motivated approach to process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience within Data Management
- Bachelor's within scientific/science background
- 5+ years performing Dictionary medical coding (MedDRA and WHODrug)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Professional use of the English language; both written and oral
- Basic knowledge of drug, device and/or biologic development and effective data management practices
