Senior Medical Assistant Certified- Primary Care (Sugar Land)

Senior Medical Assistant Certified (Sr. MA) at Houston Methodist Primary Care Group provides expert support for advanced examinations and treatments under physician/registered nurse supervision. The role includes performing delegated medical assistant tasks, supervising EMR use (including as an EMR super-user) and ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA, and government standards. Responsibilities include assisting with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, dressing changes, scheduling appointments, verifying medical necessity and eligibility for care, precepting and serving as a clinical resource to other Medical Assistants, and training/orienting staff as appropriate.
