Job Summary

Senior Medicaid Policy and Program Analyst responsible for translating complex Medicaid policy, eligibility, systems, and program information into clear, plain-language materials for members, internal staff, leadership, and external stakeholders. Supports Member Services knowledge base development and maintenance, script development, reporting-related contract deliverables, proposal development, and cross-functional coordination. Oversees internal guidance materials, leadership priorities, and initiatives to expand member self-service options. Maintains working knowledge of Arkansas Medicaid, DHS programs, and related systems (MMIS, ARIES, ACCESS Arkansas) and ensures adherence to HIPAA and security standards. Provides support for contract management, special projects, program expansion, operational planning, quality improvement, and communications with internal teams and external partners. Coordinates with multiple teams to gather information, document needs, develop content, and implement program improvements. Requires strong written and oral communication, project management, and ability to translate complex policy into accessible content for diverse audiences. Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Experience: minimum three years in Medicaid/related field, plus four years in communications. Proficient in MS Office and related business tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, public administration, communications, human services, social services, or related field
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in Medicaid, health care, human services, member services, eligibility, policy, program operations, contract support, or related field
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and applying Medicaid policy, program guidance, eligibility information, contract requirements, or operational materials, as well as developing clear written content for internal staff, leadership, members, or other public-facing audiences
  • Four (4) years of communication experience, including experience drafting, editing, explaining, or translating complex information for internal or public-facing audiences
