Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Utilities Engineer responsible for the design, optimization, and maintenance of critical utility systems to support biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Lead projects to meet technical, budget, and schedule goals; evaluate and implement equipment modifications; analyze data to identify root causes and generate measurable improvements; develop project plans and budgets; mentor engineers; supervise contractors; ensure EHS compliance and safe, reliable operation.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or equivalent degree
- 5-10 years of experience as a utility and/or facility engineer in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of utility systems used to support bio/pharmaceutical manufacturing operations (purified water pre-treatment and generation, clean steam, clean gas, compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, electrical panels, diesel generators, clean room air handlers, building automation systems)
- Capable to learn above mentioned systems
- Prior project engineering experience
- Capable to manage projects to completion on time and within budget
- Must be able to interact well with peers and senior personnel in scientific, engineering, and operational disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to participate as a leader or member on cross-functional and self-directed work teams
- Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
