Job Summary
Champion technical excellence through design reviews and expertise inputs while developing strategies to build a strong, BDS-wide Mechanical & Structural Engineering Design capability. Lead initiatives driving predictability and stability in program performance, manage resource allocation and cross-training to grow MSE Design talent, and foster a culture of inclusion and continuous learning. Partner with Division leaders and Enterprise peers to execute design practices, knowledge curation, and long-term functional strategy. Requires U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret security clearance post-start, and 5+ years of technical leadership experience. Travel approximately 20% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance post-start
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of Mechanical & Structural Engineering disciplines experience
- 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role
- Willing to travel on average 20% of the time across a calendar year
- Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Desired Qualifications
- Active U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience working with DoD Customers
- Experience across entire life cycle (Create/Develop/Produce/Sustain)
- MBE/MBSE (Digital Engineering) experience
- Tools experience with CATIA, NX, or other CAD applications
