Job Summary
Perform design and engineering work across mechanical disciplines with a focus on HVAC, industrial piping, plumbing, and utility systems. Coordinate with other engineering teams to produce construction drawings and details while developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for early project stages. Create design drawings using Revit 3D software and conduct investigative energy assessments to identify cost savings measures. Utilize building modeling software to determine envelope heat gains/losses and specify mechanical equipment. Summarize engineering results in written reports and presentations, and visit job sites for project upfits involving day trips and overnight domestic travel. Adhere to Ramboll's Project Execution Manual and Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or greater
- 10+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed professional engineer
- Ability to foster a creative engineering environment
- Strong communication skills, (both in written and verbal)
- Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the mechanical engineering discipline
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software
