Job Summary
Perform design and engineering work across heating, ventilation, air conditioning, industrial piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Coordinate with other disciplines to produce construction drawings and details, while developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for early project stages. Create design drawings using Revit 3D software and conduct investigative energy assessments to identify savings measures. Utilize HAP or Trane Trace modeling software to determine heat gains/losses and assess energy conservation measures. Specify mechanical equipment and design plumbing and building utility piping systems. Summarize engineering results in written reports and presentations, and visit job sites for upfit projects involving day trips and overnight domestic travel. Adhere to Ramboll's Project Execution Manual and Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or greater
- 10+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed professional engineer
- Ability to foster a creative engineering environment
- Strong communication skills, (both in written and verbal)
- Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the mechanical engineering discipline
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software
