Job Summary
Perform design and engineering work across HVAC, industrial piping, plumbing, and utility systems, including creating Revit 3D drawings and coordinating with other disciplines for construction details. Develop conceptual designs, cost estimates, and energy assessments using HAP or Trane Trace to identify savings measures. Specify mechanical equipment, design piping systems, and conduct spreadsheet analysis for energy conservation measures. Summarize engineering results in reports and presentations, while visiting job sites for existing system upfits. Requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of HVAC experience and a licensed professional engineer preferred. Located in Binghamton, NY, with a base salary of $110,000 to $130,000.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or greater
- 10+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed professional engineer
- Ability to foster a creative engineering environment
- Strong communication skills, (both in written and verbal)
- Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the mechanical engineering discipline
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software
