Job Summary

Supervise, check work, and mentor Estimators and Estimating Engineers while developing and overseeing conceptual estimates for assigned projects. Lead major estimating efforts, clarify estimate reports, and cultivate strong subcontractor knowledge and relations. Present estimating results to clients and stakeholders, consult with architects and engineers on project parameters, and ensure database-pricing updates are completed. Drive deadlines, achieve results, and demonstrate mastery of scope review processes and estimating software programs including on-screen take-off. Requires eight years of estimating experience and a Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field. Based in the region with opportunities to assist with multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related job field
  • Eight (8) years of estimating experience in construction or related job field
  • Capability to complete large Construction Management (CM) and General Contractor (GC) Construction Management at Risk and Design Build projects and large complex competitive bid projects
  • Independent sales strengths for presentations and project pursuits
  • History of successfully working relationships with the internal operation team and externally with owners, architects/engineers, and subcontractors
  • Attention to detail: observant, accomplishes task accurately the first time; does not let things fall through the cracks
  • Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers, and gains their trust and respect
  • Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgement
  • Provides advice and solutions to others
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
