Job Summary
The Senior Mechanical Estimator is responsible for estimating Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning, Plumbing, and Specialty systems. Key responsibilities include attending pre-bid meetings, reviewing RFP documents, coordinating with architects and engineers, soliciting vendor pricing, performing quantity surveys, evaluating vendor proposals, and preparing mechanical works proposals using standard templates. Candidates must have over 10 years of mechanical estimating experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and proficiency with relevant software and tools.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience preparing mechanical estimates
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with estimating software such as On Center OST, Fast Est (FastDUCT/ FastPIPE), Trimble MEP or similar programs
- Experience with Autodesk Revit and Navisworks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
