Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager

Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager leading and elevating a mechanical engineering team focused on designing custom machinery with robust DFM practices, driving engineering analysis, and delivering cost-effective, on-time solutions. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, building ownership and accountability, removing obstacles, recruiting and onboarding talent, and aligning design decisions with business objectives. Core duties cover leading development of scalable mechanical design practices for converting, packaging, and coating machinery; championing DFM to reduce cost and lead time; expanding engineering analysis capabilities; early risk identification and mitigation; maintaining design standards with flexibility for diverse projects; providing hands-on technical guidance and design reviews; and driving project execution, resource planning, schedules, budgets, and scope in collaboration with operations and leadership. The role requires Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 10+ years of mechanical design experience, and 3+ years in a leadership role, with travel less than 10% and on-site work in Ramsey, Minnesota.
