Job Summary
Design and optimize mobile mechanical systems, including hydraulic equipment and lifting systems, for demanding oil and gas applications. Create detailed CAD models using Inventor, Pro-E, or SolidWorks, then test and validate prototypes against API, ASME, and internal quality standards. Diagnose field issues to reduce downtime and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, field-ready solutions. This fully on-site role at our Minneapolis–St. Paul facility requires occasional travel to customer sites and fabrication partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment
- Proficiency in Inventor, Pro-E, or SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, power units, and mechanical assemblies
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept through deployment
- Excellent communication, documentation, and technical reporting skills
- 100% On-Site at our Minneapolis-St. Paul engineering facility
- Occasional travel (~10%) to customer sites and fabrication partners
