Job Summary
Lead mechanical engineering delivery for sustaining capital and brownfields mining projects across Australia, developing and reviewing engineering calculations, technical specifications, and design documentation. Provide technical leadership for fixed plant and materials handling systems while supporting studies, investigations, detailed design, and execution phases. Mentor developing engineers within the Adelaide team and engage directly with clients to identify practical solutions for operational challenges. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, civil, structural, and project delivery professionals to support project planning, budgeting, risk management, and successful work package delivery. Participate in site visits, condition assessments, commissioning activities, and technical reviews as required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience within mining, minerals processing, heavy industrial, or resources sectors
- Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment and mining infrastructure
- Experience delivering sustaining capital, brownfields, or operational site projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering packages and manage stakeholder relationships
- Strong understanding of Australian engineering standards and safe design principles
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery
Desired Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer status, or progress toward chartership, will be highly regarded
