Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for turning complex concepts into robust, production-ready hardware for automated food equipment. Own the design of high-stakes electro-mechanical subsystems, create clean 3D CAD and production drawings, and mentor junior engineers. Drive prototype-to-production processes, balancing performance with user experience, maintenance, and cost. Collaborate with project leads to execute the technical vision on tight timelines, participate in on-call rotations to support stores, and contribute across all stages of the design cycle from concept to manufacturing. Based in the Boston office (Charlestown), with a HYBRID work arrangement (minimum 4 days/week in the office).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering product development
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems and industrial automation components (pneumatics, actuators, servos, sensors)
- Strong SolidWorks or equivalent CAD experience
- Experience with clean parametric CAD and production-quality drawings
- Ability to work in-office at least 4 days a week in Boston, MA
