Job Summary
Lead projects as Engineer of Record (EOR) and guide team members through technical studies, analysis, design, and preparation of drawings and specifications. Coordinate directly with designers, owners, contractors, and consultants while performing or overseeing engineering analyses for HVAC, plumbing, building automation, and energy-efficient systems. Control expenditures within project budget limitations, review calculations to verify technical accuracy, and mentor staff on industry standards. Lead field activities including site assessments, construction administration, commissioning support, and punch list reviews for highly technical projects. Evaluate and approve design changes, maintain Engineering Standards, and resolve complex engineering challenges to ensure seamless project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university (ABET Accredited)
- 10+ years of related experience and/or training
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex ideas through writing and presentations while motivating teams and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex information and evaluate multiple solutions in dynamic situations
- Advanced financial knowledge to perform complex calculations and deliver thorough financial analysis to support project and business decisions
