Job Summary
Research, develop, and design mechanical and electromechanical prototypes, systems, and subsystems for capital equipment involving stepper motors, pneumatic pumps, and valves. Perform GD&T analysis at the system and subsystem levels and conduct system-level integration and validation through testing and troubleshooting. Plan and execute tests to analyze equipment feasibility, design, operation, and performance while driving continuous improvements to system reliability and manufacturability. Manage small to mid-sized projects from concept to production, overseeing fabrication, installation, and repair of mechanical products. Collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Process teams to document designs including BOMs, drawings, and procedures. Requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 6+ years of experience in mechanical systems design, and proficiency in Solidworks, FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis. Starting base salary $145,000 to $170,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in mechanical engineering or a related field or higher
- 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Systems Design and Development
- 6+ years of CAD experience
- 6+ years' experience designing manufacturing systems for semiconductor, machining, automation, materials processing, or other related industrial capital equipment applications
- Experience in GD&T and quality detail drawing documentation
- Thermal Analysis, FEA, CFD, and simulation software
- Systems level thinker with experience working on complex mechanical systems
- High level of commitment to contribute to a positive, high-paced and results-oriented work environment
- Willing and able to work 'Hands-on' to build, integrate and test newly developed systems and/or subsystems
- Self-driven and independent thinking. Ability to work independently.
