Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer leads department projects from concept to construction, supervises and mentors staff in technical knowledge and career development, coordinates with multiple disciplines, interfaces with clients to ensure project success, and manages project teams and schedules. The role requires an accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a PE license, and 15+ years of experience in an A/E environment, with demonstrated project-management success. The position is hybrid (2 days onsite per week) in Melbourne, FL, with in-house coordination across disciplines and opportunities for training and career development.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- PE (Professional Engineer)
- 15+ years of experience in an A/E environment
- Demonstrated success in managing projects
- Engineering expertise in field and knowledge of parallel fields
- Leadership and mentorship of staff
- Ability to interface with clients and manage project scope, schedule, and outcomes
