Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
Prepare and review mechanical designs, calculations, shop drawings, technical submittals, and Revit/BIM models for waste management systems and construction projects. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution, while reviewing consultant comments and managing multiple projects. Identify and resolve clashes using Navisworks, prepare MTOs and BOQs, and review junior engineers' work. Conduct site visits, troubleshoot issues, support NCR investigations, and monitor engineering deliverables to meet deadlines. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers while ensuring compliance with standards such as ASME, ASTM, NFPA, and SMACNA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering and technical office activities
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Senior Mechanical Engineer role
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Mechanical/BIM) – Mandatory
- Good proficiency in AutoCAD – Mandatory
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design and engineering calculations
- Experience in preparing shop drawings, technical submittals, MTOs, and BOQs
- Good understanding of relevant engineering and construction standards such as ASME, ASTM, NFPA, and SMACNA
- Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Navisworks is preferred
- BIM 360 experience is a plus
- SolidWorks or Inventor experience is a plus
