Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
Design HVAC systems, including load calculations and equipment selection, and develop piping layouts and routing specifications. Prepare mechanical design drawings, schematics, and 3D models using CAD/BIM tools, while performing heat load, flow, and stress analyses. Review drawings and P&IDs for constructability and compliance with industry standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to avoid design clashes. Supervise junior engineers, guide project execution, and engage with clients to define scope and ensure satisfaction. Execute engineering work requiring independent judgment on large or small-scale projects, translating simulation data into actionable decisions. This role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of HVAC design experience, with a hybrid work model and US time-zone overlap.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical / HVAC design
- Experience in industrial / manufacturing / data center / commercial projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, BIM tools
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems including chillers, air distribution, cooling strategies, and controls
- Knowledge of ASHRAE guidelines and applicable building codes
- Ability to translate complex simulation data into actionable engineering decisions
- This position requires candidates to work from the Mumbai office
